Anybody used the above? I'm about to buy some line for the heavy stuff and wondered if anybody has used it? On that note, which lines are people using for the rocks/kelp etc?

Never heard of that line.
I use stren blood red.
Stren staminer is the best if you can get your hands on it very very strong.
30lb and a 70lb leader and the leader snaps first.wierd.

berkley trilene, ultima distance also very good and as already stated stren stanima is very very good but very thick.

il second the stren (blood red)il not go past it for the rough stuff,30lb does the trick,decent price aswell,defo give it a shot mate

I tried the Powersteel when it came out a few years back. First impressions were great; nice & smooth, cast well and when fast up there was a lot less stretch, just what it said on the tin. By the second or third outing however, the smooth finish was gone and it was feeling distinctly rough - then on the next snag it just snapped like bait elastic. Same on two reels of the stuff; one in 30lb and the other 20 or 22lb for mixed ground, so off it came and into the bin the rest of it went
Good lines, some of which have been mentioned, are Trilene Big Game, Berkley XTS, Stren, Daiwa Tournament, Profish Ghostline, but the one I use most (in 15,20 & 30lb) is Sufix Tritanium red - I've found it reliable in all strains, casts nicely and is not too thick, and holds up well to fishing off the rocks.

Interesting....I've had the same 30lb on my two Saltist 30's since early last winter, and just finished a summer of fishing some of the roughest ground up Newton, Beadnell, Seahouses etc etc and it's still going strong. Bimini-twisted to a 60 or 70lb leader I've snapped countless leaders, 80lb rig bodies & 50lb hook lengths in that time, but the mainline's still going strong - looks like the only reason they'll need filling again soon is that every time I tie a new bimini I use up a yard or two of line and the level on the spool is just beginning to drop a bit low for my liking.
Mind you, it often only takes one bad experience to put you off a line for good - I had the same thing with that F1 stuff & wouldn't even use it for rotten bottoms these days

G-Force, I take it you mean you've had the same 30lb Power Steel on? On the topic of leaders, which knot do people use to attach the leader to the bimini? I currently use a 'no name knot' which is a nice neat little knot but I'm not sure if it's the strongest?
Do most of you lot use a leader or just heavy line straight through?

No, the same Sufix Tritanium - the Powersteel went in the bin a few years ago. I generally prefer fishing with a leader and only tend to fish without if there's a lot of weed about and I'm not having to chuck that far anyway - somewhere like Whitley beach for example. It just avoids having a big lump of weed jam in your tip ring, especially annoying if you've got a fish on.
For the heavy ground I find a sturdy leader & rig body preferable; they bear the brunt of any abrasion from rocks which tends to occur down at the business end and these are checked & changed frequently. If using heavy line straight through (I use 45lb) I find I'm often having to cut off a few yards just above the rig when it gets tatty and pretty soon the reel will need a refill.
