Went out with 6 mates from work, some had never boat fished before.
It was a cracking day weather wise, Stopped off for a mackerel or two and then headed off to the skeers. Stopped on a decent drop off after a couple of minutes and started pulling in a few decent codling which set the tone for the day
I had a cracking Pollack around the 4-5lb mark and We had codling to 6lb, pollack to 2 lb, scotchies, a couple of small ling, a wrasse, plaice and even a weaver which was handy cos now the inexperienced guys know what one looks like. Everybody caught fish on a variety of baited lures. And no-one was sick!
Think by the time we came back there were 50+ codling on board all in the 2.5 to 4 or 5 lb mark having returned loads of smalller fish and diff species.
Well done to Dave for not just putting us on the fish but also managing to do it without fishing the roughest (fish holding) marks so the newbies didnt lose much gear.
cracking day had by all and have the feeling am goin to be pestered to death to arrange a follow up!!
