Set off at 7am into blazing sunshine
Quite a bit of swell on and with the big tides Dave decided to fish the rough ground, thinking there would be to much drift for the wrecks. Water was quite murky inshore but most people picked up a few codling, coalies, pollock and makeral. Lines were straight up and down, so we headed off to fish some wrecks in clearer water.
Better stamp of fish were now coming aboard, one lad had a cod of 8lb, and a couple of others.
I tried the shads with no luck, so put some muppets on.
First drop, Bang! This felt decent
12lb
3 more drops resulted in a 7lb cod and a 6lb ling.
What a great little spell
Alan who i was with, then got a decent take. Which was a 8lb pollck
Then he had his little spell taking a couple more nice codling
i finished the day with 7 cod/codling, 1 pollock and a ling.
Great day out and great skipper, thanks alot Dave.
lookng forward to the 24th.
