Volante Catch Report 7th October

I've been told that I must curb the sacasm in my reports or I'll lose my position as deck hand on the Volante, (does that mean someone else will haul the anchor and clean up......if so, thats good with me and I'll maintain the sarcasm...!!!!). I wasn't out on Sunday but Davey and Marty made it out.

They fished ground marks at St Mary's and worked their way back to Sunderland as the day went on. Fishing with the usual baited flowing traces loaded with crab and black lug the lads ended up with 16 Codling to 5.5lbs.......as usual fishing was done at anchor, (to facilitate the easy preparation of lunch.....not for fishing reasons). The b@st@rds called me at 12:30hrs to tell me that they were having a decent day and were now sitting eating Homemade Steak Pie and Peas waiting for the next bite. Anyway, they had to do without desert with me being at home.........@~$ 'em...!!

I've explained at great length to Volante Dave how to reply to messages on here but I now think age linked with shyness maybe the cause of him never posting.....!!!! How he became a sort after "Consultant Engineer" is beyond me, (If that doesn't provoke a reaction nothing else will.......!!!!!)

Cheers,
Jeff.

Dave, wear a balaclava when your typing, or turn the monitor off so no one can see you. Makes sense. You can always edit things in the morning and no-one remembers a thing - I do it all the time, it's like I never said them things at all, at all.

Nice report jeff,

Never got out in the end...but seems I will have to give this black lug a go.

Of course jeff...you know the difference between and engineer and a consulting engineer?

About £550 per day :)

Cheers
Dave
