Not as easy as it looks is it? I was up early this morning so went out with my hard lures cos I knew there'd be nice deep water where I wouldn't loose owt.

I was only out to practise using them as it's all new to me so I wasn't expecting any fish. Would have been great if I did get one though. I like the action on me komomo 2 and duo lipless minnow.

I nearly lost me patch 100 and komomo to 2 stupid seagulls. Good job nobody was around. If I can trick them maybe I can do the same to a bass when I find them.

Good thing though the water is clearing up a fair bit.

Patch 100 almost walks itself m8, hold your rod tip up at the start of your retrieve. I'm gently popping my rod tip 2 or 3 times a second on the retrieve lowering the rod as the lure comes in.
Komomo 2 runs very shallow if you keep your rod tip up, again lowering it as the lure comes in. It won't go more than a foot deep doing that.

Need to get better at reading the water. I realised yesterday I haven't got a clue yet.
