Walkway August 6

The lad asked me to take him out fishing at lunch time today, first time for a while we've went out unplanned, although I wasn't sure with the thunder storms forecast. Grabbed some macky out the freezer and off we went, we decided to fish the walkway with low water around 1ish, could see the pier looked pretty packed so glad we avoided it.

Got to walkway about 12.45 with not much happening for the first hour we were there. Around 2pm got my first fish, a good sized whiting then it was a fish a cast for the next hour with whiting 14oz to 1-1/2lb.

Then the thunder came over head and seen a lightening bolt over the water on North side, too close for our liking so it was time to go home. We finished 7-5 to me with 4 kept for the table the rest went back for another day, great couple of hours out with plenty of fish and I won AGAIN. :D

Another win Pete!! The times are changing.
Haven't fished the walkway for ages, glad there were some fish there for you.
Surprising with all the fresh water and big tides.
