were abouts is the walkway what state of the tide does it fish best and weres the best place to park. always end up on the groyne when i go that way.

The walkway is the other side of the yacht club just upriver of the groyne, If your coming from the fairground end go past the club and just around the left hand bend take the 1st right and follow the road left, you can park there but be sensible cos the residents need access and parking. Or park in the hotel carpark and walk onto the groyne as you would normally do but turn left and follow the groyne til you come to the little wave trap and walk across the beach and up the steps then turn right and all along there is the walkway. Dont know what the best state of tide is but ive always fished it at high water. Hope this helps.

thanks for the imfo jamie got some bait in fridge was going to try blyth beach but sea dropped right off river looks favorite.

Ive got me club match the day, 4 til 8:30pm, not sure where to head for as theres been a few fish reported off last nite. There was a 9lber on shields pier, same off seaburn and some smaller codling off souter but just rumour at the mo! The sea has dropped off but hoping theyre still inshore feeding!
