well got there for around 3 had a few casts with the rod i got off fish fingers (nice to see i havent forgot how to cast )
now time to fish.....first cast lovely rattle , wound down struck and yep it was solid lost the lot.
2nd cast whiting around 3/4 lb so i was well happy first time out for over 5 yrs and didnt blank
3rd cast another and another etc got 11 i think it was one after the other
then as it hit high tide went rather quiet but still got another 5
so now im rather happy 16 fish in all about the same size but some rather skinny buggers too

no photos as stupid me took camera with dead batteries in it

all caught on lug tipped with macky just a shame nothing else got the chance to take the bait before them hungry whiting

welldone on ur 1st session pleased you,ve chrisened your rod hope you catch a biggy with it, all those skinny whiting you could of had yourself a box of captain birdseye fishfingers lol

Good idea goin to the walkway then
I DID have a go yesterday got down to whitley to find the sea still wild close to shore so went onto the prom had a cuple of undersize coalies then at half 7 decide to hit the pier and bagged 2 sized coalies and a plaice of about 1 1/2lb
Oh there was crabs broken all over the floor near the 4 posts
