called into Moonfleet today picked up some nice ragworm (Andy had me in stitches telling me about their adventure to Ireland) fished the walkway from 14.30 to 19.00 with my mate Alan we had a few undersized codling and this flattie on a Isome white worm I had a 2 hook flapper ragworm and bluey on 1 and the isome on the other just thought it was worth a go the fishing was very poor but got abit fresh air :)

spot on joe lad those isome white worm are as close to the real thing as you will get must admit they do look good when i was in thier and the results prove it will defo be giving them ago

Good report Joe nice to see fish starting to show up.

I have tried fishing isomes in the dark but blanked I guess the visual aspect is very important not just the amino acid scent so there needs to be daylight. I've tried them on three daylight sessions now fishing them on a flapper rig. I caught nothing at two of those but caught a codling on a pink XL isome at the other one. I'm not convinced yet but I will certainly be trying them some more in the coming weeks. I have to anyway cos I bought loads of packets :D lol

I have tried the white isomes twice and blanked both times but have seen them work at clachy rock river wear they were unbelievable but I will keep trying

I think your right about the visual aspect it seems to be the flatties that like them and you know what they like for spoons and beads be interesting to see what the bass and pollock think of them

I'm going to give them a try when the weather improves ie bright and sunny and the water is a lot clearer see if it makes any difference

That's what I tried Pete bait against rubber :) stationary but you know fishing what works one tide doesn't the next but it's just another arrow in your bow so to speak that's why fishermen all have different ideas because it's what you find to work
