had a trip out on the above yesterday slow days fishing but we still had ling and cod the biggest 13lb ling iwas out on another boat on Saturday and the fishing was slow then. By the radio it sounded like all the boats were having the same day the skipper lee tried his hardest and best to find us fish top bloke. Great skipper great boat will defiantly be having more trips out on her only five of us on the boat so loads of room.

was on wandering star with dougal, the boat wandered miles looking for fish, and the skipper lee and crewman george were stars:).when things went a bit quiet lee and george entertained us with a 15minute show :D it was called "chase the gaff around in the sea" someone dropped the gaff over the side ,and to say it took a wee bit off getting back would be an understatement:exclam: all ended well however:D

the other major disaster was more easily sorted:)the boat took a nasty wave and the kettle flew off the cooker:)

a hard day for all but enjoyable none the less,it would be worth going back just to hear georges tales
fish were hard to come by but i think every body had something:confused:
i know lee and george offered their catch to us,which was decent of them.

its always an advantage to have a skipper that fishes:D:D in fact i would steer clear of any charter boat where the skipper didnt fish

Thanks for the report...I fished Amble from my boat on Sunday, went North ...not a touch, went out to the wrecks just the odd mackerel but good fun in the 15 ft swell, went round the back of the island.. again not a touch. Then went home.

Always a great day out at Amble but its the first time we've completely blanked.

I think I'll stay anonymous till my luck returns but I'm parked not far from Growler in Amble marina...been a good season up to now. Mind you we followed quite a few boats on Sunday. The consensus view was that we should have headed south.
