after a decent day on sat off south we went again, into a much flatter sea.

stopped on the ground south of the island for the mackerel, not dissapointed:)

then off to the cresswell wreck, which produced nowt:( as there were time restrictions today, went into the ground, and essentially picked away all the time were out:)

one lucky lad picked out a 13 1/2lb ling:D:D

plenty of those "size but not size codlings" and quite a few decent fish also, but you had to keep moving to get them:exclam:

depending on forecast may fish next sat:)

I saw you go out (lurking up the north bay for mackerel). I fished around the island for 9 cod 2.1/2 to 5lb, a few 1- 1.1/2lbers going about as well.
Had a visit from the fisheries rib, as did a few small boats, asking if we were catching much. Wonder if its part of this angling survey thing, they didn't mention it, but unusual there was four people in the boat. Did you get a visit?

not this time col,but have had em alongside in the past.:exclam:

they have been very active this last couple of years:question:

you do wonder if theres a hidden agenda:question:

i think you can kinda see something coming........you'll probably have to post catch reports to them instead of on here.....oh, and your rod licence...and your boat licence and probably taxed for what you catch....

Makes you wonder if they monitor these forums , i don't catch any fish anyway :D, and what i do is catch and release :D:rolleyes:;).
