Had a cracking day out with me old man on the warlord from amble.
set off about 8:30 and headed straight out to the wrecks to find some clean water and we hit the fish straight away.
We finished up with 40 cod and 10 ling aboard all decent sized fish. biggest of the day was a 9lb cod caught by yours truly
. The only down side was the amount of small ling knocking around, still by next year they should be keepable (assuming they survive the swim back down)

50 nice fish is a canny result considering most of the lads aboard had never set foot on a boat. you can imagine the tangles and arguments over who had the biggest fish and the most mackerel
