a two day report,i expected two easy fishless days due to the big tide:exclam:
glad to say it wasnt the case, sat brought 10 lads from manchester, and a long lazy swell. in short there were fish aplenty, although in contrast to fridays trip the ground produced very little so wrecking it was.plenty mackarel and cod and ling to around 9lb.10 happy chappies set off for manchester about 5 pm

sunday the squad was made up of rag tag and bobcat:D some 2s and some threes:D
the swell was much more lively, you could hear it crashing against the shore and the harbour bar looked daunting, however once over that, things werent too bad,in fact the further off you went the flatter it got:Donce again too the wreck and plenty of fish 3 at a time in some cases,so at thend of the trip rag tag and bobcat were all happy bunnies:D:D:D and ling king was knackered:mad:

noticed too that the fisheries protection was very active in the amble area boarding at least one private boatroll on some better weather so that we can have more "fun at sea"

I steamed past the stern of the fisheries patrol vessel on my way back in , when I stopped just short of the piers to fillet the fish I had they sent out a rib full of ninjas ( that's what they look like in their black gear from a distance anyway :D) , but they stopped short of my boat and gave me a wave , when I waved back they headed off behind the island where a few more boats were fishing.

No such thing as an easy day at sea, the more fish there are, the harder you work, but funnily, more enjoyable. Good on ya getting them out on Sunday with that swell, aaaaaaand catch fish:D:D
