on sunday afternoon,on a flat sea,a warm but wet and misty day, with dunstanburgh castle appearing and disappearing in the mist, the curtain came down onto a "carpet",thick with coalies and mackarel, just a slight thread of cod running through:exclam:

although things have been tough since about the end of july, its the end of another very sucessful season for jeff and warlord:)

however sucess depends on more than boat and skipper:Dgood and helpful crew:D and most important of all, folks who want to go boat fishing:exclam::exclam:

to all who have sailed with us a BIG thanks, and to the many who have started to rebook for next year, look forward to seeing you:exclam:

to all other skippers and small boats who are going to go a bit longer good luck, stay safe:exclam:

Looking forward to another trip on Warlord next season. Will have to make it a weekend this time, as I always want the best:D

Take care yourself

Jonny

Yes the fishing has been dieing a slow death the last few weeks with numbers dropping off to just a few keepers a man of late but we had a good season apart from the none eather.

Two more trips left for me and then thats it until next season.

As you say nice one and be safe...see you after the long cold winter for them April catch reports :)

cheers rich, hopefully you will stick in a couple of reports before it goes quiet altogether.

i reckon that for a private boat that can nip about as and where they want, there will still be some decent fish to find:)

I was on the North pier as you's came in Duncan, drowning worms and fresh peeler crab in the main:rolleyes: !!
I think Ray came in just before you's but with that weather forecast this week it looks like that is all for this season! What a cracker it has been though!

Graham.

Yeah agreed. I was out last Thursday and again yesterday, very quiet, in fact so quiet I didn't get a thing! my girlfriend however managed around 15, taking 9 mackerel, 5 cod (one keeper) and a pollock. I took comfort in telling myself it was testament to the tuition she has received!

Season for me definitely over now, off to the beaches now for the winter....

I have been out 8 times this year with Jeff on walord had some cracking days fishing, top skippper also plenty of good banter, two top crewmen Duncan and sconner looking forward to 2012 and plenty more trips on the warlord with Jeff and his team.

aye david, its a strange thing:question: there are 3 lasses that come on warlord on various occasions ,lyn from scotland with partner mark, carol from durham with partner(forgot his name) and sandra who fishes without her husband,

as sure as the good lord made little green apples, those lasses will have fish:)
