Washed-up

I have found a couple of these Lumpfish washed up on the beach recently. They look rather weird and prehistoric as their dorsal fin is really just a fleshy bump with several spiky bits. I think this one is a little bit past producing any caviar

mate of mine found a 3ft long squid (alive)
in a pool on the beach last week

he took it home and froze it down for the winters codding...lol

is a lumpfish the same as a lumpsucker?????

Hi Macky,

Yes the lumpfish and lumpsucker are one and the same.
Funny you should mention squid I found a dead octupus the same day as the lumpfish (low tide Saturday).
