Evening all,

Considering a trip out of amble tomorrow morning, have heard south westerlys are forecast but potentially very strong.

So was wondering what peoples thoughts are - is it worth a chance or shall I stay on dry land???

Any feedback appreciated

Little further up the coast but straight east here at the moment and the sea has abit lump on if the web cam's are anything to go by.

I would say on land but he who dare's wins...unless you die of course but we wont go there :)

The next 4 days is touch and go really..it will be a late night call for the next morning by the looks of it for the weekend at least.

I have been up to Amble tonight mate and I wouldn't be venturing off, it's not too rough but bloody uncomfortable. I wouldn't fancy the bar below half tide as I'd imagine it would be breaking. Just had the bad news I am off back to work a week early in the morning to Singapore and Aus for six weeks so leave some for me if you get off.

It's not my idea of boating weather just now , even if the sea was flat and I risked a look out I wouldn't go very far from the harbour , the weather is so unpredictable anything could turn up in a matter of minutes . There's a low pressure system circling round the area , one minute you could be in a flat calm and the next in a strong wind depending which way the system moves.
I like fishing , no , I love fising , but I want to be able to fish next week and the week after as well ......... can't do that from Davy Jones' locker.

Good point and you can see i got caught out the other day.

I will make the call at 5ish Friday i think, looking so so but if i do make it out i think close in and rough ground be getting abit fish, dont wnat to eb caught out 6.5 miles out again like last Friday.

Was booked up for a trip out on JFK tomorrow but allan called me at lunch time to cancel, booked for next thurs fingers crossed.

It pee's us off not being able to make it out but for a charter, what could be worse than a spell of bad weather, the overheads dont stop because the weather is poor.

Mind it has been a good season so far, less trips called off for myself this year than the same period last year.
