As the title suggests, whats your views? will we make it out, and will the fish bite?

I'm sure the sea will be flat as the westerly is set to stay direction wise, but will it blow up on Saturday as the forecast suggests and cause severe drifting making it impossible to fish well.
It seems there is a pattern to the wind ... Thurs Fri Flat as fk, Sat Sunday Blow up, monday tues flat again ... now where have we seen that before :) :) :)

anyway heres hoping a) we get out b) the wind stays down and c) we all catch :)

see yas out there

Aye Norm, sat-sun looking dodgy for drifting the wrecks, but maybe anchoring close in with the bait might be ok....:)

Either way, i'm on 10 days holiday from tomorrow so i'm hoping to get a few days in at least......yippeeeee....:D

well my boat is having the engines serviced and the Antifouling done so it wont be back in the water till about a fortnight

Hopefully you lot wont of caught them all.

Sean

Hope its better than Sunday gone ... Out with only two fish caught all day on the boat .... Despite skippers best efforts

Been checking the weekend forcast every day, just like the rest of you I bet. :D

And it's been slowly getting stronger every day

Like Chris said, might be ok anchoring if it behaves itself a bit and stays westerly.

I will be out 100% sure, drift will be fast if it gusts as strong as they say but this time of year its hit and miss anyway and not a great deal of fish caught and even less of anything worth talking about but its forecast smooth sea maybe slight close in and it be a nice day to test the gear, wet a line, check a few wrecks out and fish a few kelp beds.

Just had a look at the sea as i am popping my head out the piers today and its a boat fishermans "wet dream sea" so flat it looks like oil, why cant this last 2 more days until we are all back at work.

I think it would be a frustrating drift with the wind spoiling things. With the making tides and a week of flat seas, the visibility should be quite good, so would imagine one or two fish could be caught if there is a few lulls in the wind.

Just got back from the marina, 4 boats been out today and 4 fish caught  ...but never 2 days the same...

Can anyone confirm that the boat jumble is on Sunday 13th...

We did ok today, lot of small codling 1-3lb about, had 4 codling in 2 drops from one mark, never even used bait until the tide dropped right off, pirk n lures did most the damage on wrecks and rough ground...weekend looks a windy one still but i am trying again :)
