Whale off Seaham

Out today from Seaham,spotted a very large whale,about 5 miles out.
Anybody seen this and can they identyfy.

We saw a huge whale off the Tyne yesterday, no idea what kind.

Most probably a Minke, saw three off Whitby last week.

Comes from working 27 years with CalMac, worked on the ships around the Scottish Islands for the first 10 years. Nearly died when I saw my first Killer Whale, as I had no idea they swam in Scottish waters!

There was a Minke whale washed ashore at Scarborough last week,so might be a few about.

A wee chart of most sighted UK whales. Also can see on occasions Sei, Fin, Humpback and Sperm whales.
