What a change

Hi all ... What a difference a week makes! I ventured out with my nephew in a charter boat last week .. We sailed from Hartlepool so an early start from Wallsend ..... Fishing was poor but at least the boy caught a fish, the bonus being a keeper ( his first cod and "best ever tasting cod ever" the cod Aka £100 pound fish ) . Sadly my efforts were tiny .....from the catch reports of over 50 fish off Whitley bay suggests an improvement in the fishing..... Look forward to the catch reports

Hi skingz, Yes the fishing around the tyne area and Whitley has improved dramatically in the last week. Now would be the time to get the bairn out fishing, no need for bait. Any artificial lure fished bouncing off the bottom is the way to go. Good luck when you do get out.
