What a nightmare!

After weeks of soul searching Lynn finally decided that the 14 year old Volvo Estate had to go. These days 23mpg at the current cost of fuel is just no good.

So armed with great advice, from a friend who knows about cars, off we went garage hopping. To cut a long story short Lynn settled on a Mazda Hatchback, with plenty of room for all the the gear. Much newer and much more economical.

Now I don't drive, so she obviously chooses which car to buy but we were both delighted with her choice.

One problem. You know how I said it has plenty of room for all our fishing gear?

Well that's all our fishing gear.............................. except my beachcaster!!!

Arrgghhh!

Penn Affinity anyone?!!

Yup I knew you would like that one Duncan. I'm seriously hacked off!! Too much expense buying a roof-rack, so need to sell the Penn Affinity and buy a beachcaster........................... in 3 sections!!

I have got a penn 15 ft power x sticks 3 piece in a rod case not sure what a penn affinity is but it is my second spare and could possibly do a deal I might be miles off the mark but pm me if you want to consider further cheers :yltype:

i used to fit 2 lots a gear in a old shape fiat panda, 2 shakespeare boxes, rod rest and 13.6 beach casters and those were the greys jupiters with the long tip and short butt, just put the rods diagnol in the passenger foot well over the handbrake and tips rest just above the rear drivers seats.

We used to go all over via panda power :D

I'll give it a go, but I'm not convinced!

buddy i had a seat arosa. its essentially a 2 dr lupo. i managed to fit a tip tornado in there no botha and it still had a bit of room to spare . u will be able to figure it out try also fitting diagonally both ways...the affinity is a canny rod i think from what i have read. a 3 piece would be an easier solution. but do . experiment u can also get rod rest for in the car made by titan on ebay ...good luck
