what a way 2 christen ur new rod

just bought myself a new rod < well second hand>last week, but new 2 me,been humming and areing when 2 go and were,was thinking whitley bay, dropped van of at the quay,and asked a fella how he had been getting on,wasnt much going,on, so got my bait,<fone call from work> saying early start so decided 2 just go the fish quay for a couple of hrs,instead of whitley,got there about 1,30 something,,2nd cast my reward,,a nice cod,allan the guy i was talking 2 earlyer,helped me land it < thanks alan ur a star>,1st cod thats not been on a boat,called into billys fishing tackle,2 ask if they had some scales,wich they did of course,,,,ended up being 6lb, was caught on lug and mussle,sorry about the long post but im still buzzing once again thank you alan,,,

well done was on south shields pier seen some one pull one in about same size

Very well done driver, first cod from the shore with your new rod and it comes in at 6 lb, that's not too shabby at all mate.

I christened my new rod tonight fishing Hadstone beach I had a cod 15oz. didn't even make a pound.
