Right guys i am just getting myself some new shore gear after i sold it all. What is a good headlight these days. I want a fully rechargeable one and it must be able to withstand heavy work etc.

Any suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Sean

The Cree stuffs good value I must admit, but a couple of mates have had similar gear (Chinese I think?) but the batteries don't last that long (as in 'they won't charge anymore') LED Lenser still use Cree LED's but the batteries & build quality is better.
You gets what you pays for & I always remember what an engineer mate of mine says, 'buy cheap, buy twice'

*sometimes this is not the case* :)

no disrespect sean but there must be dozens of posts on here,about headlamps.if its any good ? i bought 1 couple years ago for about £20,lasted about 20 HOURS,if i can remember {on full beam}.its not super duper bright,but im well happy with it,its also spot on for digging worms.think outkast 76? put a link up for it?ps,HOPE someone can put the link up for you,as im crap at that stuff.{WELLCOME BACK}

Cheers for the replies. It certainly looks like things have moved on a bit from my old miners lamps. I will be looking at the Lensers and the crees.

Thanks

Sean

It's apparently NOT the battery's. it's the charging circuit in the headlights. Buy an independent charger for the battery's and they work fine.... I've had a cree headlight which cost £15 and so far its lasted 2yrs and still going strong.
