If you can land your catch by beaching it then low diameter 12lb 0.31 is good if you have to lift your fish up piers or rocks then 15lb 0.35 is better.
Well be off the rocks at eyemouth or st abbs so i think i ll use 20 lb braided nd when i change combo with a 2 onze lead i ll just use 15lb to jellyworm to sinker thanks for ur help lads
Braid is better than mono for spinning it dosen't twist like mono, it also gives you better feed back between you and your lure. I use 30lb spiderwire EZ braid for salmon fishing its only 0.30mm slightly thinner than 15 lb mono which is around 0.35mm. Use a small rolling swivel at the end of the braid and a 3 or 4ft length of mono to the lure that way if it duobles up during the cast the hooks won't get tangled through the the braid
