What is the best pound line for spinning i was thinking round 15 pound nd would it be better to get braided thanks ryan

If you can land your catch by beaching it then low diameter 12lb 0.31 is good if you have to lift your fish up piers or rocks then 15lb 0.35 is better.

Well be off the rocks at eyemouth or st abbs so i think i ll use 20 lb braided nd when i change combo with a 2 onze lead i ll just use 15lb to jellyworm to sinker thanks for ur help lads

Just thought I'd mention that you can get some brands of 18lb mono that are the same diameter as 15lb.

That little extra could come in handy if you get into a double pollack ;)

Good luck !

Braid is better than mono for spinning it dosen't twist like mono, it also gives you better feed back between you and your lure. I use 30lb spiderwire EZ braid for salmon fishing its only 0.30mm slightly thinner than 15 lb mono which is around 0.35mm. Use a small rolling swivel at the end of the braid and a 3 or 4ft length of mono to the lure that way if it duobles up during the cast the hooks won't get tangled through the the braid
