Hi all

Just got myself a nice Harrison Torrix p3 for off the rocks, after a set of UK hooks coaster, but not sure what size to go for,
Online says it's a 23mm but section and got a penn 525 mag to pair it up with.

Do I go with the 25 or 27mm ?

Is the UK hooks measurement taken for the minimum size and would the 25mm go slightly bigger or smaller ?

Thanks in advance.

If it were my rod I'd forget about coasters for rough ground fishing. For a solid, moveable seat take the butt into a local tackle shop and see how a 26mm Fuji DPS fits (I assume you have shrink tube? That said the 26mm Fuji fits the 25mm butt of my Primo Synchro spot on).

Then buy a single coaster (probably 27mm), get a hacksaw and cut a couple of grooves in the reel seat (it's slightly more complicated than this - use a Century seat as a guide if you have one) and hey presto you have a rock solid, low profile moveable reel seat that is practically bomb proof

I already have a century reel seat on it but it's missing the two end soft rings and the foam that goes around the coaster, just think that UK hooks coasters look great and would be Easy to move it about till I get my preferred position once I have a few casts with it, never cast a 14ft before so not sure we're best to have it yet, it's a lot heavier than my century kompresser ss and my tip T sport.
Thanks for all the replays, might try a fuji but will have to take it to the shop to try them out for size.
👍🏼

What I would like to do now I have thought about it is just replace the century coaster on the century reel seat with one UK hooks coaster but not sure what size that I would need or how to measure the old one min/max size of the one I have now ? Then get size coaster that matched its min ? Or max size ?

Thanks

as the other lads have said get a decent reelseat and as for the century reelseat best place in the bin cheap chatty crap that will eventually let you down
