We were delighted to play host to South Shields Boat Angling club for the first week in Sept. They arrived just as the Master Angler ( All -Ireland 2 day championship) ended. This 28 strong group spent the next 6 days hunting species , they were not to be dissappointed 33 species in total at the weeks end, including a common Skate of 152 Lbs.caught on "Kiwi Girl"
This was a fantastic performance by both the Skippers and the highly motivated anglers, they nearly drank the village dry but not a single one missed a days fishing. Divided into 3 groups they were marvellous company for the week, and a special mention must go to one of the groups, the self styled A Team who bared all in their efforts for success, Well done lads, many thanks for an absolutely"nailed on" week!
