seems to be a few coming off the pier at the minute also if your fishing on your own the pier is a safer bet than the wherry

Totally agree outkast care Is needed when fishing the marks knowledge and a buddy always hold you in good stead if accidents occur

Howay the Wherry aint that bad...

I used to fish there quite often when a was a little younger, but it was always safe. I would go over the barrier, walk onto the rocky outcrop and place my gear at the base of it. Then set up, cast out, and fish happily all day. Yes your quite high up, but a wouldnt say its dangerous, not compared to some other marks along whitburn and marsden.

Plus this is mickey where talkin aboot here, a think he definately knows what hes doin and how to stay safe

Same here...

Fished camels for me cleadon club match last week, coalies, coalies and more coalies and blennies... no cod, even though there was a canny sea on too.

At least a didnt blank though a suppose

It wouldnt be the Wherry for me but thats just due to sea conditions, its flat as a witches and it fishes best when the sea is humping in. For me it would be the pier, either the 45 on the ebb or the brass ball for the first of the flood.

Sea was away last two days n to much pull on flood a like fishing it out on the end plain lead then fish post or 44 mark on flood

Didnt realise the sea had been away for a couple of days, i knew it was building on monday but thought it had dropped right off. I've always had best results on the ebb from 45/44. Pier always fishes best on a dying sea aswell. Might still be a gud fish feeding in rocks though! Oh the decisions!!!
