which line?

what line are the shore lads using? for clean to mixed ground. years ago i used red ice but that was mainly cos it was cheap.

ive came across the asso range, is it any good?

i'll be looking for something about 18-20lb breaking strain.

If your're fishing clean to mixed Ultima F1 offers best BS for lowest D and in turn capacity and (potential) casting advantage.
e.g. 15ib is 0.32 in relation to Sensor 15ib which is 0.37
The ratios are similar for 20Ib and up.

used to use f1 all the time, low dia. for bs.

Use nothing but Daiwa ST tournament now, much better line, same low dia as
f1 but much more subtle and abrasion resistant, down side is its 15 notes for a 600m spool opposed to a tenner for the f1 lol

don't make the mistake of getting Daiwa tournament instead of Daiwa st tournament mate, the former is totally inferior in my opinion, the st is actually advertised as a carp line but works great on a multiplier for chucking. I only ever found one local shop that flogged it which was billys but he ran out so I have to get it online now
