Which Marina is BEST?

Looking to put predator boat in water thought i might try Sunderland as
change , I want pontoon berth whats the pros and cons my wise internet friends.

£211 for a month visitors rates at Royal Quays
£411 for 3 month.

Sunderland is slighty more .:yltype:

Thats a lot of money

Boat is up for sale as im up for a bigger one hence the option for a month,

I suppose it depends which is closest for a cheeky trip out at short notice really? I am in sunderland and on a pontoon and find it great, 20 mins from home, easy access at any state of the tide and a decent mix of users all happy to have a bit of banter, on the down side some of the berths can be a bit tight!

Then again I have never been out of RQ so could be missing out!!

royal quays is it a loch wait tho and beyond that is it just like a lake frozen up easy ? as sunderland its unhook and away ya go and wont get frozen up in winter has theres a tidal flow

Depending where you are would suggest Hartlepool ,excellent pontoons,excellent staff .and very good rates.

Royal Quays, Freezes Up And On Occasion(minimum) When Work To The Gates Is Being Carried Out There's No Getting Out To Play.As Boat Crew And Not Boat Owner Any Cost I Couldn't Say.Another factor maybe the travelling distance between home to marina giving the cost of fuel.I Suppose Each Marina Will Have Its Pros & Cons.

I was in Sunderland, the yearly costs were around £2000, but in its favour as mentioned, it has year round access 24 hours a day, no lochs, maintenance hold ups or tide restrictions.....My new boat is on a trailer and i'm saving £2000 a year as i dont have to anti-foul...

yeah the key for the slip way is £115 for the year
