Whinney Loch

Visited Whinney today along with four of my mates and we decided to fish 12.00 till 18.00in stead of the earlier start.
Weather was really kind to us as the forecast rain arrived just as we were packing in and the wind was slightly less than expected.
Fishing
When we arrived the total number fishing was made up to 12 so there was still plenty of room to move around the lake, fish were topping pretty regular so a good day was in prospect.
After a few initial enquiries it appeared as if mini lures were doing the business,as there were five of us in total we decided to adopt different tactics to see if we could get away from pulling lures, (not that there is anything wrong with lure fishing.)
In a short while the beaded bloodworm started to take off, especially the one with rainbow beads for the body and black flexyfloss for the legs. We tried various colours of beaded bloodworms and the Rainbow, Olive and the Red were by far the best.
Buzzers took a few trout, and at the end of the day mini lures also put a bend into the rods,
Summerising our day out we can only say this is a spectacular place to fish, magnificent scenery, and Ted and his good lady have got Whinney spot on + there are loads of fish.

Tight Lines to ya all.
