Me n my mate set off to sluice beach at 3pm yesterday. just switched the engine of the van off and got a text off my mate to say dont fish sluice beach its flat as a fart. decided to mill over the situation with a pint in the astley arms. got to the beach about 4 only to realise i'd left the rod rest in the house. had to drive all the way home to get it. an hr or so late gets set up and casts into a sea that resembled glass. not a bite. packed up went to n/sheilds fish quay fished for 3 hrs lost 3 rigs not a bite. big bag of bait left on the quayside, hopefully some young lad finds it today and uses it up, or the rats have a damn good banquet.
