Whitburn 4/1/14

I had a few hours at Whitburn tonight from about 4 o'clock. There were a few other lads fishing there with two lads just to the left of me. About 20 minutes after I arrived, one of them pulled in a codling about the four pound mark and I thought it was going to be a great night. After that it was just rocklings rattling the rod and pinching the bait. The other lads packed up and left just before 8, thanks to the lad who left me the worms. Then I was on my own and the fish started biting, I had two codling around the 40cm mark then it went dead again. A canny night to be out with no wind and my tea sorted for Monday.

Thanks for the worms mate, I caught the second fish with one of the yellows on. The rod rattled for the first one just after you left. I stayed till about 9 o'clock then headed home. Had a few hours on the pier today but nowt happening for me, heard of whiting and small codling being caught at the end.

It's the same spot Mike but they were fishing the ledge and I'm more comfortable fishing on the grass before the ledges.
