Weefus, young Andrew, and myself had a few chucks today. we started off at Whitburn thinking everywhere would be mobbed waiting for the QE2 comming in . anyway all the usual weekend shots were going to be no go areas.started fishing half tide down, and after an hour or so and a few sinkers lighter, only 1 rockling to me . so we moved to marsdens velvet beds for low water and the flood. Right on low water keith pulled a small codling from the kelp about 1&1/2 lb which swam away through the surf. 15 mins later he lands one about 2&1/4 ish which was deeply hooked,so ended up as supper, then i caught a silver eel which was glad to rest in a rock pool until the tide swirled in and the eel shot out and through the breakers. 2hours into the flood and we moved along to the pinnacle where young Andrew caught a nice flounder. all in all a pleasant session and a few species caught / returned. to top it off as we got back to the car, there she was, the QE2 sailing up the coast. ..... magic :)
