Fished Whitley Beach tonight with Gregg, Phil, Phil's mate Chris, Carver and Cocomonkey
After a tentative start it turned out to be quite a mini species session
Couple of these...

One of these...

Couple of these also...

And to cap things off quite nicely...

...2lb 8oz Codling

Rig for smaller species - 2 hook flapper size 2 Aberdeen baited with single ragworm
Codling caught on 3/0 pennell baited with rag and Lugworm
In the name of science - when I knew I was into a better fish - I deliberately (almost to the point of exaggeration) took my time reeling it in to see what the fight would be like...as a result I STILL maintain that I am yet to feel a fight from a Cod/Codling...it came in like a plastic bag
The 1/2lb Coalies gave a better show for themselves than the Codling...but I am here to learn and I'm sure my time will come

Gregg caught a couple of whities but everyone else blanked...Carvers blanking run still continues
Tired now...we fished from 2100hrs until after 0200
Cheers
Tony
