Whitley Beach Sat 5th

I fished the Rendezvous area of Whitley beach for an hour either side of low water tonight. A waste of good lug and crab bait taking only a couple of rockling, with tangled traces showing others were around. The sea’s dropped off too much since this morning but as I’d just walked down it was too late to go anywhere else. When will big autumn easterlies turn up, we need something to stir up sport.

We fished a work comp tonight 4-8 Blyth beach next to the bandstand some canny coaleys and whities I finished second with 9 fish for 290 cm winner won with 300 so close but plenty sport about just waiting for the cod to show again
