its a low tide mark 2hours down & 2to3 up its on / at Whitley Bay beach, about 300 yds north of the pannish City, the big white dome on W/B sea front,if you go down onto the prom thers a black hut that is the panama swimming club. walk down from that and move 30yrds south if you come across rocks on your right hand side, allmost standing on them move up the beach about 20 yrds north so you are in the middle of a small bay, as the tide goes down the bay becomes more apparent, you dont need a big chuck 40/60 yrds but as the tide commes in you still want to chuck it into the middle so your cast will have to be longer, caught loads of whities there coalies and a few good cod up to 2lbs, but have heard of bigger ones being caught its also known as big bay, best fished on a medium tide as a spring tide will empty it out, sandy and slightly rocky so you shouldnt loose much, if you come across rocks on your left as you face the sea move to your right cos its dead shallow,
