Hi, i'm new here...:cool:
Me and a mate fished whitley pipe today, the sea was flatish and clear, only a small tide so couldn't get on the end but fished for 3 hours at the bend, we were using rag and mussel and had a few small bites but no fish :( my mate missed a decent bite.

Yeah it is, Tim from frasers said there was a 8lb.er caught of there in calm conditions last sunday so thought we'd give it a go, we've had best results on a larger tide with a little more sea running, enjoyed the fresh air tho';)
 
Welcome to NESA Rod bender, the pipe is a bit hitty missy but it does have it's moments mate. Usually a canny mark on a flattish sea.

A lot of coalies taking good baits. Scale down on the hooks but they all seem to go 31/32cm and don't count in matches. Best guess at what your getting, same last night in the Wear.
 
Its nice to get out,bit like having a walk mate you dont expect to find a tenner on the path every day but when you do its a bonus :)
