Second day running with less favorable conditions. After spending half an hour cleaning out my fuel tank due to Pete deciding to nip to the petrol station and filling it with diesel! - me, Stu and Pete were out on the water for 1pm, the sea was quite choppy with a south easterly blowing. We started around the rough ground and were into fish from the off..

Stu being new to the fishing was has been fishing about 10 minutes and was into his second and best ever cod...

We carried on taking the odd cod and mackerel then decided to head out to try a couple of wrecks. It wasn't a pleasant journey with the chop making it very uncomfortable. Anyway we got a few fish here and there but no real consistency.

The wind and tide today made setting the drift extremely difficult also - unless thats my lack of skill and experience at drifting wrecks??

So with a few fish here and there we wrapped it up about 7:30pm. By now the wind had dropped and it was a beautiful evening...

With the weather not looking too good the next few days I'm hoping to be back in action on Monday or Tuesday. Until the next time

I was on Warkworth beach with the kids this afternoon Dave and the birds were going crazy for feed fish. Well done with the catches, it's tuesday for me now by the look of the forecast!

Graham.
