wildcard catch report 2-8-09

[wildcard]

The ling appeared as if by magic at the back end of last week. On Sunday we fished wrecks and reefs near and far (over 40 miles in total) and they were everywhere. The biggest we caught was only 12lb but the big shoals of them seemed to coincide with the water clearing and the abundance of mackeral we are now seeing.

I agree, mackerel in force now and ling seem to be all over just most in the 4-6lb range. nice trip anway, am hoping for Thur out

I'm hoping to get out sometime in the next few days , the weather forecast is good but I'm sat here trying to shake off swine flu , they say it lasts 4-5 days , I'm into my 3rd proper day of it so here's hoping by Saturday I'm well enough to have a go at them wrecks ......... typical innit

Good weather all week, i am out thur but away fri, sat, sun for mates wedding.

Will report on the 10hr trip tomora.. hope to have some nice fish to report back on
