me and my fishing buddy stu headed to the borders to check it out and try see if any wrasse about and target a few other species too , wind up there was strong as out but seemed to be not as bad when we got down to the mark heres stu struggling with our rods :o whilst i carried the crab bucket :D

fishing was very slow nothing at all on the big rods and i tryed for a few wrasse down the side but none showed up ,stu was busy setting up his float when hes big rod lunged down fish was on and expecting to see a nice cod even better this cracking pollock just over 6lb took on fresh crab

i set up the spinning gear at distance and took a nice pollock 2lb .8

another 3lber lol this one lashed is in the mush with its tail when holding it and nearly knocked me gegs off :D

steady run of coalies too some was 1lb and over

plenty sunshine and a great day out for us hope to be back soon for some more action to be had :D

great fish trev what spinning rod is that you are using in the picture with the pollock giving you a slapping lol,looks like a heavy spinning out fit what size lures does it cast?
 
nice one Coddy, knew it wouldnt be long before you started heading up there, suprised theres no wrasse there yet cos we've had a warm and settled start to the year.
 
hi jamie ,soon as i get the big rod out i go try for the wrasse if i dont get them straight away i will give it a half hour each time but yesterday i tried a few times and gave up plus it was a bit choppy maybe more flat spells might fetch them into there rock hidey holes :D
 
looks like you had a good sesh even without the toothy critters though, be gud for species count tho if you had got one. I bet that pollock put up a scrap aswell, i got one of just under 6lb on my RT axcel and it gave it some stick!
