Well i set of for a 3hr sesh on south shields pier, i walked along and never wet a line, the water was dark brown and a large swell was rolling up the pier. I stayed for about 30mins and watched the other \"anglers\" fishing, seen 1 cole about 10oz that was kept 
nothing else was caught.
It might be good with bait after dark mind
