Wooden Jetty 24/12/2011

Woke up this morning and fancied a few hours on the river.
Headed down to joe's shop for bait, then to the jetty near the ferry landing.

Same as my last session but more fish and my first codling.
Started of with a flatty about 25 cm
Baited up another rig and the rod was nockin.
A whiting about 25 cm, other rod was going and in came another whitey the size of my hand.
Then came my first codling, eventually. It was tiny though only 10cm and weighing no more than my phone. Its a cod though.

I was ready to go until i got the cody, baited up my other rod and 5 minutes later along came a fat coalie.

Very good session for me today, no big fish but happy.

Canny session there for you mate, well done. I fished for 7 hours in the Tyne last night and blanked.

Alrite mate, canny day eh? We were out last night, went to pier was blowing a gale, ended up on little beach, got 1 coaly nd small codling also, only bowt 3/4 pound but like u say its a cod none the less! Were gna try groyne fishing into beach nxt week if fancy it?

Sounds good mate, il try keep some cash aside for bait.
used all my frozen bait today.

Quite like fishing the little jetty lately, been good.

Correct
But Today was a total waist of time at the same mark.
No fish just cold hands and howling winds.
