ive a: riever sports on a berth up scotland cant get up there cos ov the weather the dock emptys most tides am wonderin if me boat fills with snow wud it be too heavy to lift off the bottom

I shouldn't worry too much. If you fill a bucket with snow and wait for it to melt, there isn't that much water. It takes a lot of snow to make a gallon of water.

is there no one up there that can check on it for you im not sure about the reivers but had a walk around sunderland marina and there was a few small boats with a good covering of snow and they are well out of the water

There was plenty of snow on the boats in the RQ marina and they all looked OK. The news suggests that we have had the heaviest snow falls so other areas, like where your boat is may have escaped the snow or only have a light dusting. Could you ask someone in the marina where your boat is, or local to it, to go down and check, or brush the excess snow off?
