worth getting?

if your after a boat reel you cant go wrong getting a shimano tld 15
around £85
they last for ever
unless you drop it overboard on the adastra wreck

im not really looking to spend £80, just wanna get one for a year or so until i know i definently wanna stick to boat fishing...so will any of those reels do? for a year or so

good value reliable investable reel.

good value reliable investable reel.

I just bought a second hand one off e-bay more as a spare. If you look at the postings you will see it.
I,m not an expert but if you buy an abu 7000 second hand its as good as out. Its got a level wind. A big power handle. Just don,t overload with line.
I bought mine second hand and the only thing that went on it is the level wind. Cost 11quid to fix.
The titan looks canny. Just don,t know the make. If your just trying it out i would buy it unless i found s nice 7000.

this is nice and if it does not work out i,ll guarantee it will sell on t-bay.

The shimano's are great ...and I have a okuma t15 ld which is now in its second season and has done ok . Think it was 40 quid which for a lever drag is cheep but it has a 3 year guarantee.

You get what you pay for...period.

Cheers
Dave

ABU`s are not all that good for boats apart from the old 9 and 10 thousands , i would not use them in the boat shimano TLD`s 10 ,15 ,and 20`s are a good choice , and Penn have a great range for boat fishing !!
But then again what do i know ;)
