Wreck fishing off Whitby 2-5-09

absolutely great day, although the fishing was a bit sporadic ended up with cod to 7lb the smallest 4lb - we fished the wrecks up to 43miles off.

if anyone wants a charter boat that limits the number of anglers to allow greater space and less tangles, one that has a very nice flushing toilet, a kettle that is never off, microwave to warm your lunch up etc and more importantly a skipper who tried his hardest all day to find the fish and was always there to net the fish and help the customers please give the Wildcard a try.

you may pay a little more than other charters but to go from wreck to wreck at 20+knots and be able to fish all 8 down one side of the boat well worth the little extra. A thoroughly recommended boat and skipper.

roll on the 18th for a 14hr platinum trip with only 6 of us on board.

Hi Jason, I couldn't make this particular trip. I had a briefing from Mike later though. He said he planned to fish 'Alberts' wreck and saw 'Chieftain' steaming away from it. Her skipper George called him up on the radio and said they had an excellent morning fishing it.

If we had been there before Chieftain 6 anglers would have filled 10 boxes with cod.

Life's a bitch and then you die..

lol

did mike tell you about the clown netter that decide we were on HIS wreck amongst the hundreds at 30 miles off.

great day alan can not wait to meet you.

hopefully the wind gods will be good for the 18th.

oh by the way the high resolution repeater of the fish finder on the deck is the best idea i have seen on a charter boat for years.
