Hope they are better than the Yuki boat rods i have seen, had 3 on my boat used by mates and had all three snap, two the tip section broke off and one went in the middle....early days for them as this was last year so things may of moved on.

There gimmicks cheap carbon non practical rods sold for fortunes. How many people are going to spend £500 on a flattie rod?

Well lets be honest, without a 'name' or pedigree, no matter how good the rod is nobody up here will be spending £500 on a rod no matter what the hype...

how much more of a pedigree do they need, they happen to be the top shore rods in the world, 9 out of the top national teams in the world happen to be using Yuki, surely you mean if they dont have century or zziplex on them then they are ****e, you may be suprised to find out they are selling in big numbers both in this area and nationally, outselling very well known names, if you were to look worldwide rather than just the north east you will find the "name" is bigger than the ones you think of, saying that they do get put down by people who have never used them or even seen them, some people look at the top of the range rod and think they are all that price, maybe if you took the time to look into it you would find that the beachcasters start at £60, not many brands do that, they progress up to the £500 mark gradually, just for your information that bit, you will see more and more being used all the time, they arent for everyone but they arent marketed to be but you need to see them to make a judgement call, just tell me which pedigree brands do a rod for £20 that can haul 55lb of cod up or lift a kayak off the floor.......

a comment made by an un informed guy, you honestly have no idea fella, how are they gimmicks, how is it cheap carbon non practical, used by the best anglers in the world, world champions in fact, your obviously better informed than them I take it, where is your information from, certainly not from holding or testing them, you should work for sea angler with revues like that, who said the £500 rod is a flattie rod, nice to see there are still people still willing to embrace new technology, you learn something new everyday fella, you should try it sometime instead of sitting in front of a keyboard

Lol the best match fisherman in the world who fish for flatties on scratching rigs, of course there cheap gimmicks like the ruby how many yukki rods have snapped??? I know lots and what's new about it?? Afaw have used cheap carbon for years. And as for holding them why on earth would I need a £500 rod that I can only fish the river and sandy beaches with?

Sorry fella but just goes to show what you know about match fishing, you have blinkers on and simply don't understand, these are not afaw rods, what about the £140 valence, it is rated at 350g and will cast it, just stick to what you know fella, but you shouldn't comment on something that you have not seen with your own eyes, all rods can snap if they are mis treated, I have seen snapped century , zziplex, Harrison's, and yuki, doesn't mean they use cheap carbon, sometimes it's better to say nowt than spout ****e, just saying

The massarati or what ever is rated to 150g that's a river/clean beach not talking about the rest of the range, I have had both the q5 and q7 so how is than not hands on? I believe they were rated to 250g?? But they feel cheap compared to other top end rods. Will yuki ever be a popular northeast coast rod?? No I think is the answer as there priced out the market as you CANT use them on 90% of our coastline

Early days really for the brand in the north east. Im sure once it gets a foot hold it could compete with the big boys. Didn't realise it was such a big brand. Thought it was new my self obviously I was wrong. Must be good gear if its retailing at top branded rods prices only time will tell if the fishermam of the north east will add yuki to there north sea fishing. All good stuff tho
