i have a chance of a zziplex lt14 m4 what are these rods like will they handle the north east coast.

never used zziplex before so wonderd what they are like

cheers lads

The lt14 is more than capable of fishing both the mixed and heavy ground around the area the best thing i find with zziplex rods is that they offer more than enough power but there is no compromise in it been a fishing rod ie very good bite detection unlike some manufactures that think that sticking to buts together makes a good rod for the northeast.

they are a damn fine rod.. and was one the my best ever rods ive had.

but i personally wouldnt use it for anything more than mixed ground.
The LT Bullet was the version made for the rough stuff...

I found the LT14 M4 to be the ulitmate rod for rivers / match / long distance beach and pier fishing, and it handles pendulam casting lovely with a nice "wrap around you" bending action.. but it aint a rod for 8 ounce weights pulling through kelp or gullys..

Zziplex lt14

Zziplex lt14

The lt 14m4 is maybe the best zzipy ever made and will handle heavy ground, and most casting styles it loves the high ineria cast , as well as pendulum
You've got it wrong this time Mr T, the LT14 is a clean to mixed ground rod and a very good rod at that but it is not and can never be classed as a heavy ground rod. Another last question for you, WHEN DID YOU LAST FISH HEAVY GROUND!!.:):):):):)

Dont get one get a century, proper fishing rods made in the north east granted they are not all heavy ground rods.
I never look past them of course this is only my own opinion so lets not get upset and start involvin the mods and the likes lol

I did own a lt14 purchased from Gerrys of morecomb.
being a rough grounder i found this rod to be a bit light in the tip. however an excellent caster.

the m427 or the zetec have more 'beef '

own a century eliminator now and have never looked back.

if your type of fishing is belting big baits behind the breakers and dragging a cod back from the kelp, stay away from it.

Miss read the opening thread.

the m4 version is meant to be more powerful, never tried it

get a ttr or an eliminator:D:D:D

yeah i bought the ttr but wanna swap it now for a wr300 or a zziplex rough ground rod :D
