Does anyone on forums own this rod? could you please tell me your opinions on it. How does it compare to a Century WR300 13'3'' and a Zziplex LT14 M4?
Cheers

Dont have one but cast a few on the field
XTR sits in between both these rods power wise. it has quite a heavy action tip with a through action, good for ground casting and heavier leads.

IMHO The newer xtr50/50 is the one to go for.

hi, xtr is a rod which stands out from any other rod it is unique,it is nothing like the 50/50xtr or lt 14 or wr300 .the original xtr will cast a variety of leads if you are capable diff leads just put your reel at diff post on butt to suite it is the best all round for us up here no quest and i am going to have another soon

Thanks

Thanks

Cheers for the responce, i think this has made my mind up on the rod. I knew it had a good pedigree on the field but wanted to know what it its like for fishing aswell.

I've got one. Can't compare it to the other two you mention, but it has bags of power, and its a excellent heavy ground rod. It also works well over SW scotland for hauling double and treble shots of dogs in.
