      Byelaw (7) currently states that no one shall remove from any fishery soft shelled Edible Crab. However, if the shell has not yet been cast and the crab has a carapace width of 130mm or over then this would be deemed acceptable.

        One little question......South of the Tyne.......Northumberland legal now, but where does that leave Tyne pier to Seaton sluice (Northumberland starts there)????

          The NIFCA boundary actually extends to the middle of the river Tyne Arthur, so covers the North Tyneside area up to Northumberland.
