  • fixed spool reels

I usually fish the river or the piers having not fished very long and just buy cheap gear really not needing anything pricey for the occasional trip to the river.

I am looking to start fishing on the beach and the rocks a bit more and am thinking of buying a half decent reel. i know some of you will probably say i should buy something more expensive but my budget is about 40 quid.

any advice appreciated but was wondering if any of you have used these and how have you found them. I want something thats good to cast with for the beaches mainly but is strong enough to cope with some mixed ground if i decide to fish off the rocks.

TF Gear V8 Distance Reel - Sea Fishing Reels Fishtec

the tf gear reels both have 13 beaings and looks good the big pit is in the sea section in fishtec but appears in most freshwater sites, would it be suitable for what I want.

    thanks

          Fixed Spool Reels

I know youve got a limited budget but youd probably be better going for a good second hand quality piece of kit.I would reccommend a Shimano Aerlex 7000 or 8000 great reels and built for the job.
